The unique design of our 10kg Junior Barbell is perfect for the younger lifter or for someone who is just getting started in weightlifting. It offers a lower weight for drills and training without being as intimidating as heavier training bars.
The lighter barbell offers the true "feel" of a movement, often lacking in drill alternatives such as a PVC pipe. It's a great transitional piece of equipment for those just getting started and for more experienced lifters to refine lifting technique.
The Junior Barbell weighs half of the men's barbell and 5kg less than the women's, but is manufactured with the same precision and high standards.
Extensive in house development has allowed us to create a balanced knurl. It is not overly aggressive, designed to prevent your hand ripping with repetitive lifting, but not so passive that you will lose grip with high volume cleans and deadlift – the perfect equilibrium.
Junior barbell specifications
Made from Northern European Steel, the Junior Bar has a tensile strength of 250,000 psi making it the strongest of its kind. It has a 25mm diameter shaft, dual knurl markings, with no centre knurl, and a black zinc coating.
Sleeves are designed short with a loadable length of 170mm and the distance between the sleeves is a competition standard of 1310mm, meaning the bar can be placed on any standard power rack.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Bulldog Gear product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 18mm thick rubber matting must be used and the bar must not be stored with weights loaded on a rack. Indoor use only, Normal wear and tear does not fall under warranty. Warranty only valid for the original purchaser.
